I'm going to test it under OSX to see that it's working as it should when I get the time and the unit. So there must be something else that's not working with the Ultrastudio 4k. Mac computers greatly benefit from these changes in Win10 1903.
Microsoft improved hot-plug detection and handling of Thunderbolt 3 devices in this version. This hardware/OS/build works with the new Modern Warfare II. As of Spring 2020, the best version of Windows 10 to use with an eGPU is 1903, specifically OS Build 18362.295 (KB4512508). I got the thunderbolt working with the TB to ethernet dongle, running it when writing this. apaulson85, my RTX 2080 Super is working on my 2019 16' MBP Bootcamp with latest Windows 10 64-bit 22H2 build 19045.2251 without any major issues (and no additional Windows updates available to install at time of writing). I thought it was Windows 8.1, since it isn't officially support by boot camp according to the Apple support page, however having just installed Windows 8 via bootcamp instead, the results are the same - it seems that Thunderbolt simply isn't working and I cannot figure out why.įYI, the fast-boot/sleep issue is NOT the problem here, it is disabled by default in Windows 8.ĭoes anyone have any advice or solutions?
